ABOUT US

Picture of Jerry and LindaJerry and Linda established the educational agency called The New Testament Psychology Institute (NTPI) in 2003. NTPI publishes the writings of Jerold and Linda Reed and is an educational agency that fosters research and development in the field of New Testament psychology, Church History, and the Organic Church. It encourages writers to produce books and articles that continue to investigate the principles of and apply the concepts of the Natures of Mankind Psychology (NMP) as well as other significant subjects. NTPI promotes lectures, classes and workshops that foster the Christian's spiritual growth and participation in the body of Christ based on The Natures of Mankind Psychology (NMP).

The book entitled NATURES OF MANKIND PSYCHOLOGY was published in 2003 and revised in 2006.

Jerold L. Reed

Jerry graduated from Arizona Bible College in 1968 with a BA in Bible. He continued his studies at the graduate schools of Talbot Theological Seminary and Arizona State University in the fields of theology and counseling. Then in 1996, after a "close encounter" with God, Jerry immersed himself in study and personal research in the areas of Koiné Greek, Ancient and Contemporary Church History, History of Biblical Translations, History of the Roman Empire and the Roman Catholic Church, History of Politico/Religious Conspiracies, the personal application of Christian concepts and principles to everyday life, and the history and etymology of the English Translation of the Bible.

He has an extensive background in teaching and training. During the 10 years he served as youth and education director of several churches in Arizona and California, he taught every level of Sunday school, instructed church teachers in grade-level teaching techniques, conducted singles workshops, and facilitated leadership-training retreats.

Jerry also has a technical writing background. In 1982, he established ECC Learning Systems, a company that developed software- and print-based classroom and individual training materials. During that time, he created and wrote 23 computer-application training manuals and 7 computer-based training programs for his own company and 9 print-based training manuals for other training companies.

Jerry has been a Certified Reality Therapist since 1986. His mental health work background includes a psychiatric halfway house, developmentally disabled adult group home, community mental health center, psychiatric hospital, and a daytime program for the seriously mentally ill population.

Jerry is a full time writer and is co-author of NATURES OF MANKIND PSYCHOLOGY. In 1996, Jerry began developing a New Testament Psychology that has now become known as The Natures of Mankind Psychology (NMP). Jerry and Linda his wife have worked on this New Testament psychology as they systematically stripped away secular and religious psychologies and pagan theories and concepts, leaving only the psychological principles taught in the New Testament.

Jerry has written over 25 pamphlets that discuss various topics that relate to Christianity, the Church, and the Christian lifestyle. He is currently writing THE GREAT CHURCH CONSPIRACY, CHRISTIANITY - THE EARLY YEARS, MARRIAGE: AN ACID TEST OF FAITH, and THE FORGIVENESS WORKBOOK.

Linda D. Reed

Linda graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in Education and a minor in Special Education. She also has graduate studies in Education at ASU. Linda is certified by the Institute for Grief RecoveryŽ as a Grief Recovery specialist.

She taught for 23 years in Mesa's public school system. She provides spiritual guidance to married couples and is a part-time employee for the City of Mesa Cemetery. Jerry and Linda live in Mesa, Arizona.

As Linda and Jerry applied these New Testament principles to their own lives, God transformed them and revealed to them the keys to living the victorious life. These concepts are written down in their book NATURES OF MANKIND PSYCHOLOGY. Jerry, in collaboration with Linda, wrote this book to share these New Testament truths with other Christians. Jerry and Linda point to the New Testament as the answer for understanding human behavior and thought. They show how a Christian can use the New Testament for daily living including solving psychological issues. NATURES OF MANKIND PSYCHOLOGY is an invaluable aid for Christians who feel unsuccessful in their Christian lives and for counselors, teachers, and friends who want to help fellow Christians.

STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING

NOTE: Anyone who desires to meet with Jerold and Linda for the purpose of learning the concepts and principles of the New Testament and how to apply them to his/her personal life must agree to the following STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING:

STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING

Adult/Juvenile Name: ___________________________________________ Date:____________

I, (Name of person granting permission) _________________________________________ hereby grant permission to Jerold L. Reed and/or Linda D. Reed to provide educational sessions that teach the truths of the New Testament and provide spiritual guidance as may be deemed necessary or advisable, by Jerold and/or Linda, to help me/my child to become knowledgeable in New Testament concepts and to become more Christ-like.

I understand that The New Testament Psychology Institute is a research and development educational agency; that The New Testament Psychology Institute teaches Christianity; and that the educational sessions that I will be attending are designed to accomplish the following Institute goals:

1. To teach the truths of the New Testament as they apply to why humans think, feel, and act the way they do; why humans change when they establish a relationship with God; and how humans think, feel, and act differently after becoming Christians.

2. To teach the New Testament truths about living the Christian life.

3. To teach the New Testament truths about a Christian's eternal life.

4. To teach the verbal and visual model (a summarization of the teachings of the New Testament) that explains how all of the truths, affecting human thought, feeling, and behavior, interact and influence the Christian.

5. To teach the truth that every Christian is unique in his or her heart; that every Christian has a unique place in the body of Christ; and that every Christian has a personal and unique relationship with God.

6. To teach the processes and techniques a Christian can use to identify and discard the lies and deceptions they have learned all his or her life (at the hands of the world, the flesh, and the devil) and to replace those lies and deceptions by embracing and practicing the truths of the New Testament: renewing the mind.

7. To teach the process of changing a Christian's belief system and as a result be a participant, along with God's empowerment, in his or her own transformation.

8. To teach Christians the truths of the New Testament so they can develop the kind of relationship with God that facilitates a partnership - a relationship between Christians and God - that can be used to intervene in Christians' lives so that they can experience transformation that results in a continuing, personal change leading to a Christ-like lives.

9. To teach the truths of the New Testament that explain how God wants Christians to respond to the world and to their personal relationships.

10. To encourage each Christian to apply the truths of the New Testament to his or her life so that each Christian can experience a victorious life.

I understand that part of the learning process involves reading the book NATURES OF MANKIND PSYCHOLOGY, completing the exercises at the end of each chapter, studying the Scripture passages referred to in the book, and discussing those truths with the mentor(s). I understand that I can read the New Testament in whatever translation I choose.

I understand that the process of reading the book NATURES OF MANKIND PSYCHOLOGY, completing the exercises, and applying the concepts to my personal life takes at least 12 months.

I understand that by signing this Statement of Understanding that I am making a commitment to attend forty (40) to fifty-two (52), 1- to 2-hour educational sessions during the next 12 months.

I understand that I can use the Internet and E-mail to discuss the concepts of Christianity with a mentor(s) as they apply to my life in addition to my regular educational sessions.

I understand that healing and restoring a Christian marriage may take an additional 12 months.

I understand that Jerold L. Reed and/or Linda D. Reed are not providing services as professional or licensed counselors, therapists, or medical or psychological practitioners. I deem Jerold L. Reed and/or Linda D. Reed to simply be fellow Christians, Christian educators, spiritual guides, and Christian mentors who are volunteering to help me/my child understand my/their relationship with God and to practice New Testament principles and spiritual laws. Within our meetings, Jerold L. Reed and/or Linda D. Reed are not serving in a professional capacity as a therapist, counselor, or medical/psychological practitioner and I release them from all professional liability or responsibility for my/my child's experiences in these meetings.

I understand that all information gathered in the course of my/my child's attendance at a (these) meeting(s) with Jerold L. Reed and/or Linda D. Reed is confidential, though this confidentiality is not absolute in that in the case of a medical emergency, court order, and where otherwise legally required, information may be released.

I acknowledge that Jerold L. Reed and Linda D. Reed have requested a donation of $45 be made to The New Testament Psychology Institute for each meeting I/my child attend(s). I understand that I am free to leave the group or individual meeting at anytime, that I/my child am/is here voluntarily, and that I am under no financial obligation.
